Saint-Gobain #202 Yttria stabilized Zirconium Oxide 20% is designed with a spherical shape that produces more uniform build-up rates without clogging or pulsing of the feed lines. The hollow particles lead to more complete melting and higher deposit efficiency. Commonly used for thermal barrier in hot zones of aircraft or gas turbines.
Compared to 8% Yttria, #202 provides lower thermal conductivity, better corrosion resistance and coatings that are more easily machined.
The nominal particle size distribution is of 25-95 µm.
