855G-300 Primer PTFE Blue
Water-based Primer intended to be used in the 3 coats system known under the name “SUPRA” made of primer + pigmented midcoat + clear topcoat. Initially designed for cookware application and marketed as the “best” offering in the 80’s, it has been adopted in industrial fields as Food Industry and Office Automation. The system is not reinforced, but is based on a blend of PTFE and PFA. In some end-uses a 2 coats system, primer + pigmented midcoat, can be used if non-stick is less critical.
PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) nonstick coatings are two-coat (primer/topcoat) or three-coat (primer/mid-coat/topcoat) systems. These products have the highest operating temperature of any fluoroplastic (260°C), an extremely low coefficient of friction, good abrasion resistance, and good chemical resistance. PTFE is available in water-based liquid form.
