532G-9410 Topcoat PFA powder Clear
PFA powders do offer outstanding temperature resistance, excellent release and high abrasion resistance. Molecular weight (MW) of the powder does influence the resistance to mechanical and/or thermal properties, the higher the MW, the higher the resistance of the polymer to fatigue / stress-cracking. Melt Flow Rate (MFR) of the powder does influence application methodology, the higher the MFR, the better the flow & smoother the film, also a way to lower processing time.
PFA (perfluoroalkoxy) nonstick coatings melt and flow during baking to provide nonporous films. PFA offers the additional benefits of higher continuous use temperature (260°C), film thicknesses up to 1000 µm, and greater toughness than PTFE or FEP. This combination of properties makes PFA an excellent choice for a wide variety of uses, especially those involving chemical resistance.
